Polyvinyl Chloride
is polyvinyl chloride bad for you?
It is in almost every plastic product there is.
*sigh*
Polyvinyl chloride is not bad for you. All plastics are inert in the body. The monomer, vinyl chloride is very toxic, Making PVC can release toxins into the atmosphere, but they don’t persist into the finished plastic. The only plastic know even suspected of being harmful are those containing terphthallates. And that’s a stretch. Once a chemical is polymerized, it’s very difficult to break it down through biological means.
