I was reading “full moon wo sagashite” and I wanted to know what Izumi and Jonathan’s team name “Yami Nabe” meant. I looked up each word seperated and the translator I used said Yami means “darkness” or “easily”. Nabe was all kinds of japanese steam boat dishes.
I’m not sure if that’s right. xD
If it is I’m very confused.
Can you please tell me why “yami nabe” together means? and why it’s so funny?
yami = dark, gloom
nabe = Japanese pot dish
People, usually friends, bring outrageous ingredients that are unknown to the others. And they cook them in a pot without knowing what’s inside and eat it in the dark. This is called as yaminabe.
