Why Do Clamps Have Cork Linings?
I need to know 2 reasons why laboratory clamps have cork linings.
It is a firm lining that will not scratch glass and has a coefficient of friction with glass and metal. It remains flexible over a large range of temperatures. It is an electrical and thermal insulator. Biologically renewable resource, unlike plastics.
