Prenatal Monitor
How do I find my baby’s heartbeat using a prenatal monitor?
I know I am only just about 13 weeks, but I suffered a threatened miscarriage on friday and am extremely anxious until my doctor’s appt tuesday and i want to do what i can to make sure everything is ok. My friend let me borrow her bebe sounds heartbeat monitor. I know those things are crap and that I certainly shouldn’t expect to hear anything using it, let alone at 13 weeks, but I still need to try. Do you have any tips on how to find it, such as different positions or where I should even look for it? Any advice would be appreciated.
I just wanted to add that I am 80% sure the baby is still there. Despite all the blood Friday they still saw the baby there with a strong heartbeat. The bleeding has stopped and I never passed any clots. But Tuesday just seems so far away to know for sure… and Friday is my ultrasound, and that just seems like years away….
I didn’t find my baby’s heartbeat that early on (i’ve got the angel sounds monitor and is not a proffessional one… i was about 18 weeks when i heard it, i think it’s just going to make you even more worried if you cannot find it.
you need to try not to worry
